It is a dramatic and romantic war movie that has been directed by Philippe Aractingi. The script was written by Aractingi himself and Michel Leviant. The main character named "Zeina" has been played by Nada Abou Farhat. The character of the taxi driver named "Tony" has been played by Georges Khabbaz. This movie review will critically analyze the plot, characters, direction, cinematography and the overall theme on which the movie is based. Nada Abou Farhat who plays the role of "Zeina" in the movie is a beautiful Lebanese woman who has lost his son in the Israeli bombings on Lebanon. After 33 days of carnage, she comes back to Lebanon and after a lot of struggle finds a man named "Tony (played by Georges Khabbaz)" who is willing to take her to the southern part of the country. Lebanon is in ruins after heavy bombings by Israel and the duo has to travel between the ruins to the south of Lebanon CITATION The10 \l 1033 (The Red Phoenix, 2010). Georges Khabbaz and Nada Abou Farhat starred together in a movie called Void as well which was released in the year 2013. Both of them have played their roles in an excellent manner and deserve credit for their performances in Under the bombs. The plot chosen by the writers is intense and nerve wrecking. The cruelties that a war brings with it have been depicted in a very intense manner and wreak havoc on audience's heart. Under the bombs is not only about the war and the atrocities it brings with it, it contains a beautiful love story as well. The plot is very gripping as the audience witnesses the love that a mother has for her children, a sister has for her siblings and the love that two humans have for each other. As Zeina and Tony travel through the ruins of Lebanon, they discover the truths about war and about each other. The difficult time that they spend together while in search of Karim (Zeina's son) and Maha (Zeina's sister), makes them fall in love. Furthermore, the sexual tension between them has been depicted in a very natural and compelling manner. Georges Khabbaz who played the role of Tony (a cynic taxi driver) has done justice to his role along with Nada Abou Farhat who played the role of Zeina. Both of them have given performances that makes the audience indulge completely into the movie. They are real life people caught in real life situations in war ridden Lebanon. Philippe Aractingi has done a tremendous job in capturing the expressions and conditions of these people throughout the movie. The direction of the movie seems more like a documentary than a theatrical film. This is partly because of the fact that most of the scenes have been captured when they were happening in real time. The bombings shown in the movie are actual bombings that were done on the civilian population by Israel. The ruins and the search for refugees shown in the movie is also actual footage of the events. A person will retreat to a garden to get solace from the daily worries of the world and pass time. Clothing Chinese were also in the habit of giving clothing to their close friends and relatives. His-men Ch’ing asked Tai-an, upon arrival at the Liu’s apartment, of the outfit they had prepared for Aunt Kuei-chieh (Trans and Tod 226). Flowers and classical clothing had an important implication in the setting. These items signified prestige in the society. Blossoms and brocade in Chinese send out a message of people enjoying life. They used it to have as many concubines as they please. Money gave them power in the society. An affluent individual with plenty of money wa s able to pay other people to work for him. His-men Ch’ing has a personal accountant, who is answerable to him regarding all the bills he and the people he hosts incurs, and those that accrues from his expenditure on regular feasting that His-men Ch’ing funds. People of class in China used money to bail out friends and relatives, who were arrested under the laws of the country. Li P’ing-erh asked His-men Ch’ing to help her use his influence to establish the amount of money she could pay as bribe for the release of her husband, Hua Tzu-hua (Trans and Tod, Chapter 14 277). Treasures The Chinese people also kept precious items in their homes. These items could be used when their money depleted, as a result of mindless spending on pleasures. A man, who had made enough fortune during his life, could pass down this precious to someone he trust among his relations. A woman, such as Li P’ing-erh, could feel insecure to keep four chests of precious items wi th her against her husband’s relations, who had issues with him (Trans and Tod, Chapter 14 †¦ 278). Chinese people kept treasures in lacquer chests which are often decorated in gold tracery. The items that were regarded to be of very high value include python robes, bracelets, pendants, precious jewels, and chatelaines. A person in possession of these items could sell them and obtain money for upkeep or pleasure, when there liquid cash finishes. Conclusion The material life of Chinese is varied as depicted by many items and habits they portray. Essentially, the material life of a Chinese revolved around other people and mainly depended on his or her socioeconomic position. Once you get past its name, though, Ikrandraco avatar may have been a truly unique pterosaur: some paleontologists claim that it had a pouch on the underside of its distinctively shaped bill in which it stored recently caught fish, which would make it similar to the modern pelican. However, not everyone is convinced by this putative anatomical feature of Ikrandraco (made of soft tissue, a throat pouch would have no chance of surviving in the fossil record), nor by the hypothesis that this pterosaur skimmed over the surface of lakes and trapped wiggling prey in its submerged lower jaw.
